Ginny and Neil created the business in 1993 as a response to working parents finding it difficult to access quality child care. Ginny identified their first nursery located at Earle Street, which at the time required extensive renovation work to enable the building to be converted into a Day Nursery.
Ginny began her nursing career in 1977, training at Sefton General Hospital, Broad Green Hospital and Mill Road Maternity Hospital in Liverpool achieving her RMN,RGN,RHV,CPT. From 1984 till 1993 Ginny worked as a Health Visitor in both Liverpool and St Helens until opening the first Wind in the Willows nursery.
In 1998 Ginny achieved her BA Hons in Education and Community Studies. In December 2013 Ginny successfully achieved her MA(Ed) Early Years. She also holds her Early Years Professional Status EYP.
During 2010/2011 Ginny had the honour of being Mayoress of St Helens supporting Neil in his role as Mayor.
